I love it when I find a book that most people would just throwout, like this tropical fish book with a broken spine. As soon as I opened this book I was inspired to create gift tags and book-markers. The layout for each page made it easy to trim the pages into four individual cards. I then cut card stock and glued it to the back. The last step was to punch a hole at one end and tie a coordinating ribbon to each. This was an easy craft to do with a paper-cutter. I was able to make over 65 tags from this single book, and every one is unique. Laminating these would be a great option to make them more durable. The next time you see a damaged book with great graphics imagine the possibilities.....how will you recycle it? I'd love to hear about your book recycling projects!..............Jolene
